Changing LeadTek video card on the advice of Alex to either Prophet II ($253), or Radeon 32M DDR($206), depending on whether I give in or not.

I briefly considered the Radeon. But decided against it. ATI's driver history was an issue, as well as the fact that I have DVD playback already. The performance, while not astounding, was... okay. For all but hardcore players, it's pretty good. But you knew all that. ;) I decided to get the fastest chipset, figuring it'd last me longer than a Radeon gimmick feature.

Are Radeon's even available again? They were all recalled at one point.

Oh, and remember that an OEM whitebox Radeon is clocked much slower than the retail.

I'm pretty sure they are. I still saw retail ones a few weeks ago and they seem to be around. Yeah, that too. Same for the Hercules Prophet II MX, apprently (slower clock for OEM). These companies...
