shopping trip challenge

I just got back from PriceChopper, where I bought the following:

• Two (2) sets of mousetraps (of two different kinds)


• Two (2) sympathy cards


• One (1) tuna roll

I think that everyone would agree that this is a strange assortment of items. *I* know why I bought them, but you don't. I challenge you, readers and friends, to come up with a coherent story behind my buying all of these. Winner gets, I dunno, a cookie or something.

You have a very peculiar aunt and uncle. Both of them are extremely wealthy, yet extremely faint of heart. The smallest fright will do them in. Since you realize the cost of the Playstation 3 is going to be astronomical, you have concocted a plan to earn your share of their inheritance TODAY.

Both of them love tuna. Absolutely are addicted to it. So you carefully place the tuna roll on their kitchen table, while placing the sticky mouse traps ALONG with the snapping traps upon the seats of the chair. Since you can't know where they will sit, you have to use all the mousetraps in the set.

The plan will go off with only one hitch. You don't know whether it will be your aunt or uncle who sits down, is startled by the ass-snapping-trap and so you have prepared both a "I'm sorry for your loss, Aunt" and a "I'm sorry for your loss, Uncle" cards that will arrive BEFORE the other relatives to ensure they do not forget you during the reading of the will.
