Note to self: ALWAYS check to see that the command you just recalled by hitting up-arrow after shelling into your server is the one you expected before hitting enter.

You see, "echo * | xargs rm" is a bit different from "screen -U -r -x"...

Good thing I have a backup from earlier this week...

i always use ctrl+r and find the last command i want

i've done that one too many times (not rm, but hit the wrong command)

worse yet was thinking i was typing shutdown on my laptop, when infact i was doing it on a remote server.
