More fun yesterday at Dave's; finished putting the last strut of the new suspension on Alex's car. I, knowing approximately jack about the inner workings of what really amount to mobile beasts, mostly stood on the sidelines and provided insanity, including:
- the Best Picture of Alex Ever
- the spectacle of attaching a Super Soaker directly to a hose
- the unearthing of the Ultimator, which can only be called a toy bazooka, powered by a spring longer than my arm. It shot foam missiles something on the order of forty feet after repeated pumping. Insert manaical laughter.
- the discovery of such things as old vacuum tubes in the attic of the garage.

Chinese takeout was then had, and a late pickup from home had to be called in, owing to Alex's place of employment requiring him to arrive at work early, and the human need for sleep.
Moon is a Harsh Mistress was finished postthis, along with "Life Line" from Expanded Universe. Both most enjoyable.

LOL, providing entertainment while someone works on the vehicle is more than I would do... I run and hide so that no one asks me to hand them the 'passenger side equalionizing cavitation recalibrator', or something like that... :)

The missile's a bit longer than a foot, and it's lightweight foam. It still hurts a fair amount if you get hit by it, though.
