annathystThings seem to have calmed down. I'm glad. If they get angry again, I fully reserve the right to utterly not care. I may be a bastard, but I value my own sanity at this point.
Main project today was getting solaris 9 on the Blade to bind to the directory on cderr6 for authentication and nsswitch, by means of ldapclient(8, I think). Didn't work; I again wonder why Sun has to overcomplicate what's a simple edit of ldap.conf and nsswitch.conf through the GPLed nss_ldap.
I've got to get outside sometime tomorrow during work. There's only so much swivel-chair duty I can do before I need to use my muscles for something besides typing.
Alex got his new car. We'll finally have a vehicle to ride around in style in when I get back; rockage.
Wish I was back in Boston doing stuff again, or something. The social atmosphere around here is still cramped and stifling-feeling. I'm actually glad that I'll be off-campus for total six weeks after I leave, and that there'll be other people here upon my return.
Did renew my paid account for another year.
I ate far too much candy today.
