Further notes on the iris problem:
Found a nice Sun Ultra 5 (270MHz, 128M RAM, 4G HDD) on eBay that looks like it might go over for a fair price...if I can swing it, I'll get it and replace iris and let the poor old machine live out the rest of its life in retirement.

remember, that ultra 5 is about the same speed as a pentium II. So take that with a grain of salt. you're better off buying a sunblade 100 for 1k, instead of 2-5k for an ultra 2. just a thought.

was more along the line of $300-$400. ebay is my friend. :)
found an ultra 2 with dual 300MHz cpus too, might buy that instead.
