annathystYesterday and last night were interesting. Film society was showing an interesting lineup, so I went. Films were:
- History of the World Part I
- Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail (for the nth time)
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show (yes, first time. Don't laugh. :p)
So, movieness ended at about 2:40 AM. Then, a bunch of guys I met at the movie and I went to Andrew's room and hung out for a while, and consumed too much sugar. So, around 2:40, Andrew and I decided to play D&D, and we went and pulled Paulo out of bed to play with. Threw together a wizard (got AMAZINGLY good stat rolls, after modifiers for being an elf, were Str:12 Dex:19 Con:14 Int:18 Wis:15 Cha:14) fast, and played through the beginning of an adventure Andrew threw together.
It was...odd. I ran out of spells by the third fight (damn lvl1 wizards!), and had to fall back on my shortbow and longsword. Shortbow took out a lot of goblins, before bowstring popped on a fumble, my one attack with longsword fumbled, but through amazing chance (yes, we rolled d%), it skittered across the floor and hit a goblin in hte ankles and killed it.
