I wish there was something I could say that hasn't been said before about the bombing.
Except there isn't.
Many friends of my father and of my mother are dead. Several of my brother's friends have no parents.
And only through sheer chance am I here instead of being there when it happened.
The dice came down...and I won, at the cost of someone else's life.
Of ten thousand lives.

I'm ashamed to be of the same species as the person who did this atrocious deed.

I can't begin to understand how you're feeling right now. I wish I could so that I could offer the right kind of condolences. But I can still try in saying that my prayers are with you and all the people around you. As soon as I heard, I started to think about all of my friends out East and how this would affect them. Even when you're just in the vicinity, you're affected by this and that leaves me sad and hopeful that you'll find your way through this mess.
