Why do people persist in repeatedly stating the blatantly obvious?

I'm sort of pissed that tonight is Everwind's last session. We had a really cool campaign - how often do you get to kill a manifestation of a god? - and I learned how to play D&D a lot better than in my abortive first attempt.
But I'm most pissed about not getting to use my char anymore. Ashtae is level 10, has 28 int (hooray for magic headbands), psionics, tons of spells, a crystal ball, the Precious, a ring of wizardry, a gauntlet of spell resistance, a magic crown that lets him cast one extra spell in each castable spell level/day, and a literally priceless Staff of Power.
And now he's just going to sit there, unused. I want to play with my toys, damnit. :P

But I don't know what.

Addendum: Inter is letting me keep Ashtae for the new campaign!
Admittedly, without his massive amount of gold, but who needs to buy things when you can just create 'em? :)
