I realize that I've been ranting about the adventures of my poor lost domain name. Bear with me, it'll all be over in a few days.

Grr. I got a cuecat, and installed the Linux drivers.
I then dropped to console as required, and ran read_cuecat.
If I run it over a barcode, it doesn't do anything - just sits there until I hit escape.
Any advice?
