Well, I saw Serenity.

On the one hand, good movie.

On the other hand, I was disappointed.

On the gripping hand, DAMN YOU WHEDON!

So true. My biggest problem with it is that it didn't really "feel" like Firefly. Not sure how to qualify that exactly. When I walked out, I felt like I had just watched a damn good movie... that wasn't really much like Firefly except for the snippets of humor and wit.

So I'm still ultimately torn on whether to like it or not, but I guess it doesn't matter since it bombed in the theatres opening weekend and there's basically no hope of sequels or another series now.

A slight retraction... I said Serenity bombed in the theatres opening weekend. That might be wrong. The official box office counts said that it made just over $10 mil during the weekend, which seemed low, hence the "bombed" comment. I guess I have no idea how to gauge movie popularity.
