Maui is neat. A lot nicer than Kaua'i was, for sure.
Nicer area, better phone lines (connected at 48.6k), and best of all, what Heinlein called 'some of the most beautiful scenery in the known universe' in Starship Troopers

In less happy news, aura's been down for a day now. I'm not sure if it's Comcast being out, or (augh) a power outage which exhausted the capacity of the UPS or (augh augh) aura itself crashing. Regardless, it's starting to look like things are going to stay down until I can get home to deal with it; I apologize for the inconvenience, but there's little I can do remotely.

funny.. i always liked kaua'i. it seemed more serene, less touristy than maui. but then, i wasn't judging by its phone lines :P

where on kaua'i did you stay? kapa'a was really a dump.
agreed on the more serene bit, though - some of the landscapes were utterly astounding.
then again, I'm looking out at a cloud-shrouded molokai now as I write this, so...

we were in some really nice condo on po'ipu beach, if i remember correctly. i think it shared a stretch of beach with a sheraton.

i need to go back to hawai'i. it's such an amazing place to spend a couple weeks.. *sigh*

ah. our condo on kaua'i (on wailua bay) was nice, but the area was really a dump.
we never made it down to po'ipu; we spent most of our time either at wailua or at Tunnels beach - great snorkeling there
