And, while I'm vaguely on the subject of GEB:EGB, I finished my first pass through it last night. The only stuff I skimmed were the cog sci sections; those kind of bored me. The rest, especially the chapter showing Goedel's proof was...wow. I love this book.

Sounds interesting. I keep seeing the book recommended, but never gotten around to it ... any comments on it? A quick review maybe?
