Well, damn. Plink (commandline version of PuTTY) is almost usable...except it seems that the W2K terminal is incapable of handling even VT100 emulation, let alone ANSI.
Ahwell. PuTTY itself still works, though it'd have been nifty to have been able to do more stuff from the commandline in windows

You could try cygwin if you really want to work in a CLI in w2k. It comes with openssh :)
