I know that if/when I go to sleep, I'm going to wake up to a lot of doom and gloom on my friends list about the election.

Folks, it's not over. It's going to be ten days before we know how Ohio goes, and if we win WI - which I think we will, we're in an extremely strong position going into the final Ohio count; that is, 252, assuming we win HI [update: CBS just called HI for Kerry], which I rather think we will.
I'm going to go out on a limb and predict a NV win too. I think NM goes Bush, and IA honestly is too close to call.

It's only beginning, folks. Break out all your pregnant chad jokes from 2000 - Ohio is this year's FL.

We tried.

Goddamnit, we TRIED!

Enjoy your theocracy, folks. On the agenda for this legislative session: stoning adulterers, death penalty for gays, mandatory deification and worship of the President...

yes, I know Kerry conceded. I can't blame him - there just weren't enough provo ballots to make up the difference.

sigh.

It's so hard to believe that at least a plurality, if not a majority, of the country of which I am a citizen considers preventing gays from marrying to be a more important issue than the economy or healthcare or Iraq or even terrorism.
