Am I the only one who finds people's "fan clubs"* on LJ not only annoying, but sometimes a little creepy?

It's been goooooooooood being done with finals. I'm more relaxed than I've been in ages, this being not at all hindered by liberal applications of alcohol to stress-induced soul scars**. I've learned that rum and lemonade is a tasty and powerful combination indeed.

The graduate's dinner tonight, despite going on way too long***, had some of the best food I've ever seen come out of the dining hall staff. It's such a shame that the food is inedible most of the time...oh well, not my problem anymore!!#%#@

Austin (pvx) is actually on his way over here now, because he was that bored****. I dunno what we'll do once he gets here, besides drink until our hearts stop, but I'll think of something.

* I mean the people who gravitate to people (especially girls)'s journals and, every time they post about anything at all, comment expressing their undying enthusiastic support for whatever the poster is doing, be it asking someone out for the first time or brutally axe-murdering a busload of Catholic schoolgirls. I've only really noticed the creepy aspect in a few places, particularly recent comments on ldy's journal, which seem bordering on obsession...

*** Bernie said at least a few sentences about every one of the forty-four long-winded (in their own words!) senior theses; this, understandably, took a while. Of course, he wasn't at the end off the tent open to the cold outside, but....
I can understand why it took so long, it was just mildly irritating

**** Apparantly he lives in the middle of nowhere. No worries, I'm bored too.
