my earlier estimation of the difficulty of my task was far, far understated.
I had neglected to realize that 42 pages of Spanish...is 42 pages of a foreign language, which has to be parsed one word or idiomatic expression at a time, instead of in blocks of sentences or paragraphs. Like reading from a character device (heh, /dev/spanish_book), except there aren't any handy ioctl()s (FLIOCTRANSLATE, anyone?). I'm not going to get any sleep tonight, dangit. And the summary isn't going to get written today...I'll have to do it during various classes tomorrow. Blegh. :/

Wow, did I ever luck out.
No one else in Spanish class did ANY of the reading, so I got away without my not doing the writing being mentioned! Woo!
The math stuff I'll just have to push myself with and get done tonight. But I can. Thank god for sheer dumb luck.
Walked to the train with hudson-Alex after school. He's cool, a really supportive guy, and a great friend. I ended up venting a bit more at him than I thought I would...but he didn't mind.
Lunch was Chinese food from the good place three blocks from the school. Yum.
Our school finally got DSL. The catch: it's only 128k up/down. Bleah. But it beats the dialup we had before.
When the hell did a new version of PuTTY come out? :P I barely recognized the version I downloaded at school. Anyway, more random musings as they come.

I'll finally get my hands on the rest of the Galactic Centre series, and find out what the hell the Grog problem is (bought Neutron Star, too.)
For the first day back at school, this isn't bad at all.
