Oct. 12th, 2000 05:04 pmin other news, the first stage of the linux box project at school is done.
the MKA intranet website now runs on the linux box.
What I find funny is that WebStar on a G3 350MHz server with 384M RAM serves pages only approximately half as fast as Apache on a P200 Linux box with 32M RAM running Apache. :P
Also, I have identified several freshmen who seem to have the makings of proto-geeks. I must pick out the ones with rudimentary technical knowledge and begin their training, so the student body isn't left helpless in two years when I graduate.
