w2k finally is working.
after several hours of installing and post-install tweaking.
it's pretty nice.
oh, and LW works on it. :)

Whee. first post from win2k.
I like it a lot, so far - lots of little improvements in the interface over 98, and it hasn't crashed yet.
Plus, LightWave works. :)
I got WindowFX on it too, so I have nifty things like translucent menus and window movement.

Okay. My clothes and stuff are all packed, just need to throw in some books and dump some more mp3s and games onto navi.
Any recommendations for either of the former? I'll heve no broadband, and only sporadic dialup for the next 3 weeks, so it needs to be good. Games suggested have to be easily downloadable
