Even us po' folk, when determined, obssessed, or fascinated, can scrape up the $$ or charm or whatever to obtain what we want. ;)

It's the little things. Like not having any source of work/income, being fourteen, traveling, and being able to buy things on impulse. If you want to contest that, it usually takes several months of planning for someone to buy something as simple as a couple of DVDs. Unless they have a good source of income, and know where their expenses are.

Internet access from a hotel, however much it was, is an example of this.
